✅ Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Python Quest ("the Platform"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you disagree with any part of these terms, you may not access the Platform.

These Terms apply to all visitors, users, and others who access or use the Platform.

👤 Your Account

When you create an account with us, you must provide accurate, complete, and current information at all times. Failure to do so constitutes a breach of these Terms.

• You are responsible for safeguarding the password used to access your account
• You must not share your account credentials with any third party
• You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorised access
• You may not create more than one account per person without permission
• Accounts created by bots or automated methods are prohibited

You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.

🔓 Platform Access & Plans

Python Quest offers the following access tiers:

• Free Demo — access to the first 4 lessons with no account required
• Basic Plan — full access to all 20 lessons, handbook, playground, AI debug assistant, and certificate (one-time payment)
• Pro Plan — all Basic features plus one shareable coupon code
• Coupon Access — full platform access granted via a valid coupon code

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the Platform (or any part of it) at any time, with reasonable notice where possible.

💳 Payments & Refunds

Payments are processed by Selar.co, a third-party payment provider. Python Quest does not store your payment card details.

• All prices are stated in Nigerian Naira (₦) or USD equivalent
• Payments are one-time and grant lifetime access to the purchased plan
• We do not currently offer subscriptions
• Coupon codes can be applied at sign-up and are non-transferable
• Once a coupon is used, it is linked to the account and cannot be reused

Refund Policy: Due to the digital nature of our product and the immediate access granted, we generally do not offer refunds. If you experience a technical issue that prevents access, please contact us within 7 days and we will work to resolve it or issue a refund at our discretion.

📝 Your Content & Code

Python Quest allows you to write and save code in lessons and the Playground. Regarding this content:

• You retain full ownership of any original code you write
• By saving code to your account, you grant us a limited licence to store and display it to you
• We do not use your code for training AI models or share it with third parties
• You are responsible for ensuring your code does not violate any laws or third-party rights

⚖️ Acceptable Use

You agree not to use Python Quest to:

• Violate any applicable laws or regulations
• Attempt to bypass, hack, or exploit the platform's authentication or access controls
• Share account credentials to grant unauthorised access to others
• Reverse-engineer or copy the platform's proprietary lessons, design, or features
• Submit harmful, abusive, or malicious code through our editors
• Engage in any activity that disrupts or interferes with the platform's servers
• Scrape, crawl, or automatically collect platform content without permission
• Use the AI Debug Assistant to generate harmful or deceptive content

Violation of these rules may result in immediate account termination without refund.

🏆 Certificates of Completion

Upon successfully completing all 20 lessons and passing the Certification Exam (75% or higher), you will receive a Python Quest Certificate of Achievement.

• Certificates are issued in your account name — ensure it is accurate
• Certificates are for personal, professional, and portfolio use
• You may share certificates on LinkedIn, CVs, and social media
• Python Quest certificates are issued by Python Quest and are not affiliated with any external accreditation body
• We reserve the right to revoke certificates if evidence of cheating or account sharing is found

©️ Intellectual Property

The Platform and its original content — including but not limited to lesson materials, curriculum, design, code examples, branding, and documentation — are owned by Python Quest and protected by copyright and intellectual property laws.

• You may not reproduce, distribute, or commercially exploit platform content without written permission
• Screenshots and short excerpts for personal study or portfolio purposes are permitted
• Our name, logo, and "Python Quest" branding may not be used without permission

"Python" is a trademark of the Python Software Foundation, which is not affiliated with Python Quest.

⚠️ Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability

Python Quest is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis without warranties of any kind, either express or implied.

• We do not guarantee uninterrupted, error-free access to the Platform
• The AI Debug Assistant may produce inaccurate suggestions — always verify code independently
• We are not responsible for any loss of code, progress, or data arising from platform outages
• We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Platform

Our total liability to you for any claim arising from use of Python Quest shall not exceed the amount you paid for your plan in the 12 months preceding the claim.

🚫 Termination

We may terminate or suspend your account and access to the Platform immediately, without prior notice, if you breach these Terms.

You may terminate your account at any time by contacting us. Upon termination:

• Your access to premium content will be revoked
• Your data will be retained for 30 days before permanent deletion, unless you request immediate deletion
• Certificates already issued and downloaded remain valid
